LAS academic units ranked among nation's best graduate programs
Several academic departments in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences have been ranked among the best graduate programs in the United States by U.S. News and World Report magazine.
The magazine ranked the graduate programs in math, science and education among the country's top 25 public programs. Statistics has the top ranking of any department at Iowa State at third in the nation among public institutions and fifth overall.
Other LAS academic units ranked by U.S. News and World Report include inorganic chemistry, 11th; analytical chemistry, 12; and student counseling and personnel services, 12th. The Department of Chemistry was ranked 36th overall in the ratings.
