A Broad Education - That's the definition of a liberal arts education--courses in a variety of disciplines to help you long after you graduate from Iowa State. We offer 50 undergraduate majors in the sciences, humanities, social sciences, communications and mathematical disciplines. Opportunity - It's not unusual for LAS students to have a second major in another subject. Students also take advantage of our diverse offerings to declare one or more minors. Know this: you're not alone. Twenty percent of Iowa State students enter as Open Option students.
