The
secondary major for students in the College of Liberal Arts & Science
uses an area studies approach, with students studying across disciplines
about a specific geographical area.
24 semester
credits are required. Students with majors in International Studies work
with an adviser to construct an individualized program from a basic plan
that includes:
University Studies 235 (Fall & Summer)
University Studies
430 (Spring)
18 credits in
designated geographical area,
with coursework in at least three different disciplines and no more than
6 hours in the Pre-Modern period.
Normally,
courses used for the minor should relate to a common theme.
Fulfillment of language proficiency.
