Constitution/Bylaw revision
- Thanks to Tim, Catalina, and Jordan for getting a rough draft of this finished
Constitution:
- Article 3, Section 1, 2b: What is distributed studies??
- Article 3, Section 1: There is no C....skips from B to D
- Article 3, Section 2, C: should say "fall" instead of "spring"...may also re-word this as some representatives serve for just a semester at a time
- Article 3, Section 3, part A2: absence policy: change wording so absences are recorded by semester rather than the representative's "term," only allow one free absence per semester (not counting the first meeting of each semester...or just not counting the first meeting of fall semester?), add wording: an excused absence counts as half an absence (allowed 2 excused absences per semester), should the absence policy be different for GSB senators?

By-Laws:
- Article 2, Section 2, B2: reference this to the GSB by-law
-Leah will meet with the "Constitution Revision Committee" to go over some more changes to the Constition and By-Laws. The council will be emailed an updated version before the next meeting, and revision will continue at the next meeting.

Open Forum
-A concern was raised that a couple clubs meet during the same time as LAS Council. It was noted that this has been the time LAS Council has met for years...it would be hard to change the meeting time because there would most likely not be another time that works for everybody. If you still have concerns about this, talk with Leah, but otherwise you will just have to work around LAS Council's schedule.
-Note: at next week's meeting we will be voting on giving funding to the music department for their conference in March

-January 31st, 5:10pm, Bessey 203, guest speaker Olivia Madison
