American Indian Studies Program
The award shall be open to undergraduate students of American Indian descent. The recipient shall meet the following criteria: demonstrated academic achievement with a 3.0 GPA or higher, demonstrated community connection with their community of origin and with Iowa State University extracurricular activities, and involvement in a leadership and mentoring program.
American Society for Quality Control
This award shall be open to a junior or senior majoring in the mathematical disciplines (mathematics, computer science or statistics). Preference must be given to members of the American Society for Quality Control, State University at Iowa Section, or to their descendants who meet the minimum requirements of the selection committee. The name, university, and home addresses of the selected recipients will be forwarded to the Society's University Liaison Committee prior to announcement.
William R. Bliss
The award shall be open to Iowa residents who are enrolled in a pre-med curriculum and have a high grade point average and financial need.
Arie and Catherine Breed
The scholarship is designed for a computer science student demonstrating financial need. The student must be an Iowa resident and a U.S. citizen.
Boyd and Mari Burnison
The recipient shall be enrolled as an Open Option student in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and shall demonstrate financial need. The recipient shall have graduated from an Iowa high school in the top 10 percent of his/her class. Preference shall be given to students who display leadership and participation in school and community activities as evidenced by such things as active participation/leadership role in a recognized student organization, professional organization and/or community service, as well as honors and awards received.
G.W. Catt
This scholarship shall be awarded to senior students at ISU on the basis of need, character and scholarship.
Mildred Cole Ford
The recipient of this scholarship shall be enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, majoring in one of the sciences.
James and Marian Dawson Senger
The Dean or a committee appointed by the Dean shall be responsible for the selection of the recipients on the basis of academic achievement and contribution to a student publication. The award shall be open to any full-time undergraduate student enrolled in any college at ISU who works with university student publications.
Ray Cunningham
The award shall be open to a sophomore who is a citizen of the United States, who has completed the freshman year with good academic standing and who is working his/her way through college.
Norma Hirsh
This scholarship shall provide financial support for students enrolled in any curriculum in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University. The recipient(s) shall be selected on the basis of potential to contribute in their chosen field, financial need, and balance in life.
Charles Jorgensen
The award shall be open to pre-medical students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences who have financial need.
Kline Family
The award shall be open to a student who is a graduate of an Iowa high school and maintained a 3.0 GPA or higher in high school or his/her prior year of college. The student shall demonstrate financial need. The student shall demonstrate high potential for leadership, as observed through the student's involvement in his/her community, church, campus organizations, student activities, and other outside activities.
Lane Wells
The recipient shall have financial need and shall be a working student, earning a good share of their college expenses.
Palmer
The recipient shall demonstrate financial need. The recipient shall demonstrate relatively average academic credentials as evidence by a cumulative GPA between 2.0 and 2.7. Preference shall go to an applicant majoring in Sociology.
Carolee Raps MD & Lawrence Brecker MD
The recipient shall not be receiving other need-based scholarships or grants, nor National merit/National achievement scholarships. The award shall be open to entering first-year students who are U.S. citizens and have demonstrated some degree of scholarship ability and financial need.
Dorris M. Ehret Tendall
This scholarship is designed to assist Iowa women in the field of science who need financial aid in order to attend college. Financial need is the first criterion with preference given to students who work to help defray their expenses; in addition, entering students should have graduated in the top 25% of their class. Good character and strong ambition are expected.
Sina Severson
The recipient shall be accepted to or enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The recipient shall demonstrate financial need. Preference shall go to an Iowa resident. The scholarship may be renewed at the discretion of the administering authority for up to three additional years upon demonstrating a cumulative minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. This scholarship shall be made available to students with undergraduate class standing.
