Michael Bugeja
Professor and director, Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication bugeja@iastate.edu Web Site Michael J. Bugeja is Director of the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication at Iowa State University of Science and Technology, where he also serves on the Board of the Institute of Science and Society. In 2003-04, he was chair of the LAS Diversity Committee, which produced a report titled, “A Clear, Accountable Commitment to Diversity,” noting the importance of diversity assessment and planning. Bugeja, author of eighteen books, recently published Interpersonal Divide: The Search for Community in a Technological Age (Oxford Univ. Press). He is a regular contributor to The Chronicle of Higher Education, holds a Ph.D. in English, and has published poems in such journals as Harper’s, Poetry, Kenyon Review, New England Review, Georgia Review and other top journals, in addition to collections with university presses, including Talk (Univ. of Arkansas Press). |
