Kathleen Hickok, Ph.D. University of Maryland 1977, is a Professor of English. She joined the ISU faculty in 1979 and chaired the Women's Studies Program from 1984-1990 and 1992-1994. Her academic areas of research and teaching are women writers, 19th-century British literature, and multicultural women's literature. Currently, she is Professor in Charge of the Carver Academy.

Dr. Hickok has taught several core Women's Studies courses, including WS 201 and 301, and numerous courses cross-listed between English and Women's Studies, including 340, 345, and 545. In this summer 2003 session, she is teaching WS/Engl 340, the undergraduate survey of women's literature. In fall 2003 she will teach English 440: The Victorian Novel.
