Christiana Langenberg
Academic Adviser and Lecturer Department of English clang@iastate.edu Web site Christiana Louisa Langenberg teaches (affiliated)Women's Studies and English courses at Iowa State University, where she is also an academic advisor and faculty advisor for the student-run literary journal, Sketch. In 1998, she created the "Write Like a Woman" course (Engl/WS 304) which has been very successful with students and the subject of two Rekha Basu (Des Moines Register) columns She was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to the U.S with her Dutch father and Italian mother. Raised trilingually in rural Nebraska, she was naturalized when she was 17. She is the winner of the Drunken Boat Panliterary Award for Fiction, Chelsea Award for Short Fiction, and her stories can be found in Glimmer Train, Dogwood, Pindeldyboz, Drunken Boat, Storyglossia, Chelsea, Green Mountains Review, Carve, American Literary Review, and others.
